MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in the trial of a western Pennsylvania woman charged in the shotgun death of her husband.
Fifty-four-year-old Patricia Oliver of Conneautsville is charged with criminal homicide in Crawford County in the death of 63-year-old Anthony Oliver.
Testimony at a preliminary hearing indicated that the couple had been arguing about household bills before the October 2010 shooting in their Hayfield Township home.
Judge John Spataro ruled last week that photographs of the victim could be shown during the trial. Defense attorneys had argued that they would be too upsetting to jurors who would then be unable to render an unbiased verdict. The prosecution argued that the images were not that graphic.
