HOLLYWOOD — A man has been arrested on suspicion of beating a kitten named Hobe to death inside his home, according to a police report.
Richard Stewart Andres, 32, was reported to authorities on Thursday by his wife, who feared that she would be her husband's next victim, police said. Trembling, she was "terrified at the thought of it," police said in Andres' arrest affidavit.
Andres stands accused of domestic violence assault and animal cruelty that caused death, pain and suffering. The Sun Sentinel is not identifying Andres' wife due to the domestic charge.
According to police, the attack occurred about 4 p.m. in the 1100 block of North 25th Avenue.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
