A 37-year-old man was stabbed to death in St. Petersburg and his live-in girlfriend was charged with manslaughter after a domestic dispute Monday night, police said.
St. Petersburg police found Steven L. Green, of 2510 26th Street South, inside his home with a stab wound to his upper body after responding to a call of a domestic stabbing about 10 p.m.
Latonya Mullans, 38, said she and Green got into a fight, which turned physical, police said. After the fight Mullans stabbed Green in what she said was self defense, police said.
She said she stabbed Green as she was trying to free herself from his hold, according to an arrest affidavit.
Mullans had no visible injuries, police said.
Green died at the scene.
The two had been dating for two years.
