MORRISTOWN, N.J. — The husband of a woman slain in New Jersey on Tuesday night has been charged with her murder. So has a woman arrested Thursday night in Massachusetts.
The husband, Kashif Parvaiz, was wounded in the attack in Boonton, N.J., that killed his 27-year-old wife, Nazish Noorani.
He and 26-year-old Antoinette Stephen, of Billerica (bil-RIK’-ah), Mass., both face charges of murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses. He also faces child-endangerment charges.
The couple was wed in an arranged marriage six years ago. Their 3-year-old child was with them Tuesday when shots rang out. They were in the New Jersey community visiting relatives.
Parvaiz told family he was attending graduate school at Harvard, but the school has no record of him studying there.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
