PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The Prescott Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide that happened over the weekend in the 3000 block of Mountain Lake Road.
A roommate found the resident, Lara Vondran-Dagle, 59, and the resident's estranged husband, Ned Dagle, 62, dead as a result of gunshot wounds.
Police detectives responded and processed the scene to determine that Vondran-Dagle died from a gunshot wound inflicted by Dagle who then committed suicide.
Detectives spoke with neighbors who reported they heard what they believed to be gunshots during the early morning hours.
Investigators indicated the couple had been married for about five years. They were separated for about four months and in the process of a divorce.
In December 2009, police had investigated a previous domestic violence incident that occurred at the residence.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
