Police have released the name of the man who shot and killed a women in Lincoln this weekend, before shooting and killing himself.
He is identified as 57 year old Jerry Crook. The woman's name has not been released by police. However, neighbors say she was Crook's ex-girlfriend, Sue.
They go on to say that she had moved in to help pay bills because he was struggling financially.
A witness reported to police that Crook shot the 47 year old woman with a shotgun during an argument just before 7 p.m Saturday. The witness ran from the apartment at 36th and Huntington Avenue and called 911. Officers arrived to find both the man and the woman dead.
The man died of a gunshot wound to the head.
