Gulfport, MS: Argument led to apparent stabbing death of boyfriend

An argument between a couple led to the apparent stabbing death of a Meridian man at the William Bell Apartments in Gulfport on Sunday, August 14, 2011. According to Gulfport Police Captain Neil Stachura, police received a call from a resident living in the William Bell Apartment complex at around 1 a.m.

Officials with the Gulfport Police Department said 39-year-old Bertha Mae Wilson was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, 36-year-old Marcus Spencer with a knife after an apparent argument.

Spencer was transported to a hospital were he later died from a stabbing wound at the neck. Wilson was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility in lieu of a $500,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
