Police believe the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a Tacoma house on Wednesday afternoon were the result of a murder-suicide, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
At around 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, police received a call requesting a check on the welfare of a person living in the house in the 3900 block of North 30th Street, Tacoma police spokesman Sgt. Mark Fulghum said.
Officers found the bodies inside the house, he said. One of the woman’s co-workers had called in the afternoon after she’d failed to show up to work.
Fulghum said detectives believe the man killed the woman before killing himself. He said police have a “pretty good idea” of what the relationship between the two victims was but their identities still need to be confirmed by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
