BENTON, Ky. — The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is investigating the killing of a couple.
The incident occurred Saturday night in the Fairdealing community on Kentucky Lake.
The sheriff's office reported Sunday night that 66-year-old John O. Armstrong called a dispatcher Saturday night and said he had shot his wife and planned to kill himself, according to The Paducah Sun.
Deputies responded and found John Armstrong and 73-year-old Marjorie Armstrong dead. The sheriff's office said a handgun was found at the scene, but did not say how the Armstrongs died.
