Effort man, sought for killing girlfriend, son, captured in new England

SOMERSWORTH NH - Michael Parrish, wanted for shooting his girlfriend and young son to death, Monday night, is in custody. Police in Somersworth NH say they investigated a suspicious vehicle at a local service station, and upon questioning the two men inside, discovered one of the men was Parrish, who is now in custody.

The other man is Conrad Jankowski, who man face local charges of hindering apprehension.
Both men were to be arraigned late this morning on fugitive from justice charges. They are being held without bail, pending an expected extradition request from Pennsylvania.

CHESTNUTHILL TWP – Police are conducting an intensive search for Michael Parrish, 23, wanted for killing his girlfriend and young son. The search has expanded to neighboring New York State.

Marie Adams, 21, and Sidney Michael Parrish, 2, were shot to death in their Route 115 Apartment, in Effort, late Monday night. According to reports, the shooting may have followed an argument between Parrish and another man, at the address.

According to one media report, Parrish worked as a prison guard at the Monroe County Correctional Facility. He did not show up for work yesterday.

Police in New York State, meanwhile, have been put on alert, based on information he may be headed to the Troy area, near Albany, in upstate New York.

The NYSP alert says he may have several rifles in his possession, including an AK-47. He is considered armed and dangerous. The release also claims Parrish may have white supremacist leanings.
