Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding an apparent murder-suicide discovered Sunday morning in Canyon Country. Deputies were called to the 28000 block of Creston Court, in a neighborhood behind Canyon Country Park, after a relative of the female victim came home and found them dead. Deputies arriving at the scene searched the location and found the suspect had hanged himself in the back yard.
According to investigators, the couple, who were married, were going through a divorce and had prior verbal altercations. The victim, a female Hispanic adult, was killed by blunt force to the head and upper torso. Her husband, a male Hispanic adult, died as a result of the hanging. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation continues into the incident. |
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
