HARRIS COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - WTVM was the first on the scene of a Murder-Suicide between a husband and wife in the Grey Rock Subdivision in Southern Harris County.

No one knows for sure what exactly happened inside 131 Old Gate Road Tuesday night, but Wednesday morning, the 15 year old son of Christopher and Andrea Holcombe stumbled upon both of their bodies after returning from a sleep-over at a neighbor's house.

Sheriff's deputies say Mr. Holcombe shot his wife in the chest with a shotgun, killing her, then turned the gun on himself.

The most disturbing thing--two of the couple's children were at home at the time, one five years old, and one just 18 months.

Neighbors tell News Leader Nine the five-year old saw everything, but didn't understand what was going on, and put himself to bed.

All the children are okay, and are staying with their grandmother for now.

As family friends came to the home Wednesday night to try to clean up what was left of the crime scene, many questions still remain.

Investigators cannot say what led Mr. Holcombe to kill both his wife and then himself.

Christopher Holcombe worked at Clark-Pinnacle, a civilian contractor on Fort Benning, as their construction supervisor.

Andrea Holcombe worked at TSYS.

The Harris County Coroner says their autopsies are scheduled for Thursday, and hope to find out more about their deaths.
