A 58-year-old woman was beaten to death early Thursday morning in San Pedro, and her live-in boyfriend was arrested, police said.
Officers were called to an apartment in the 300 block of West 14th Street at 1:30 a.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division Detective Louis Paglialonga.
The victim, who was not identified, was found dead inside her apartment. Her 53-year-old boyfriend was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, Paglialonga said.
The victim was beaten to death but officials would not say whether a weapon was used in the attack. The motive was a "domestic argument," he said.

A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
