NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nashville police say a receptionist has been shot and killed at a dental office in the upscale Green Hills area. Her estranged husband, a suspect in the shooting, later died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officers said 48-year-old Vickie Pearsall was found dead by her employer, Dr. John Williams, on the floor behind her desk shortly after 7 a.m. Monday.
Later Monday, police said 51-year-old Gilbert Devon Pearsall was found dead in a car on Interstate 24 near Paducah, Ky. Vickie Pearsall had sued him for divorce last October, and the case was still pending.
Police said court records show he had assaulted and stalked his wife dating back to 2009.
