Macon, GA: Boyfriend charged in Ga. slaying arrested in Ala.

MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Macon man charged with fatally stabbing his girlfriend has been arrested in Alabama.

The Telegraph of Macon reports (http://bit.ly/Lokd9D ) 29-year-old Bobby Lee Fordham was arrested late Friday by federal marshals from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Marshals also recovered the car owned by the slain woman, 29-year-old Candace Rice.

Police say Rice was found dead under a brown quilt inside a locked bedroom at her home Monday. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Saturday she was killed by a single stab wound to the chest.

Investigators had been looking for Fordham since Tuesday after learning Rice's children told a babysitter the couple had been fighting.

Candace was my husband's cousin. She was a very sweet young lady. Have there been any other reports of whether the boyfriend has been convicted and charged yet? We have not heard anything.
