GLENDALE -- Police are on the scene of an early morning double stabbing in Glendale.

A woman called 911 shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, saying that her boyfriend had been stabbed.

When rescuers arrived at an apartment complex near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road, they discovered two victims. A 37-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 40s had been stabbed in the neck. He was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital.

Family members said the incident was a domestic situation that turned very violent. They told 3TV that this appears to be a murder-suicide.

Police said they were not actively looking for a suspect.
