JONESTOWN, Pa. - A south-central Pennsylvania man is accused of strangling his 71-year-old mother with an electric cord. David Ebling was already jailed on an unrelated charge when police announced Friday that he was charged with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse. The 45-year-old man lived with his mother, Jeanette Ebling, in Swatara Township, Lebanon County, about 75 miles west-northwest of Philadelphia. A neighbor found Jeanette Ebling strangled in her home June 12. A message seeking comment from a public defender who represented Ebling in a previous matter was not immediately returned. |
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
