A man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death on Mother’s Day was arraigned in District Court today.

David Frostic pleaded not guilty to the charge of first degree murder with a deadly weapon.

Judge Kevin Williams set a trial date for Sept. 8 in District Court Department 6.

Metro Police officers responded to a domestic violence call on May 10 in the area of West Desert Inn and Fort Apache roads. They reported finding blood flowing from the front door of a residence in the 9500 block of Swan Bay Drive.

Police found a woman lying in the doorway dead from apparent stab wounds.

Inside the house, police found Frostic, 46, who was arrested.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said 45-year-old Robin Lesley Jenkins of Las Vegas died of several stab wounds. The death was ruled a homicide.

Frostic is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bond.
