The woman who was stabbed to death in her Denver apartment Sunday night was identified today.
Crystal R. Crespin, 32, died of a stab wound to the thorax, according to a news release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Crespin was found inside an apartment at 1080 S. Eliot St., after officers responded to a report of domestic violence, according to Denver police.
Neighbors in the apartment building heard the disturbance and called police. They then went to the apartment where they found Crespin.
She was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Neighbors also helped restrain Roberto Santistevan, 53, until police arrived.
Santistevan was arrested and is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.
