Phoenix police say a man shot and killed his girlfriend and then fatally shot himself in front of the woman's son Sunday night.
According to Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson, authorities were called out to the scene around 8 p.m. near 63rd Avenue and Thomas Road in west Phoenix.
The man and woman were both in their mid-20's, Thompson said.
He said the shootings happened in front of the woman's 8-year-old son.
Thomspon said the boy then ran out to his neighbors in the apartment complex for help.
Police have not identified a motive at this time. Check back for updates.
