WESTFIELD, MA (WSHM) - Police arrested 51-year-old Karen Brettman on Friday at her Heggie drive home in Westfield.
In April her husband, 67-year-old John Brettman died after being injured inside the home.
According to an autopsy, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
Karen Brettman is now charged in connection with her husband's death, according to The Westfield News.
Neighbors tell CBS 3 Springfield the Brettman's pretty much kept to themselves and say John Brettman had suffered a stroke years ago and was disabled.
Westfield police would not supply anymore information on how John Brettman died or the exact role Karen Brettman played in his death.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

John Brettman was NOT a violent man, therefore his wife, Karen Brettman did get away with MURDER. How she can face herself is way beyond my comprehension. She will be accountable to the Lord. John, I'm so very sorry you had to suffer this way, a part of you will always live on in my heart.
