BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo police have identified the victim and suspect involved in a fatal shooting Wednesday night on the city's west side.
Patrols responded shortly after 8:00 PM to the scene near the corner of Virginia Street and Trenton Avenue.
Helena Rivera, 25, was found lying on the sidewalk and was declared dead at the scene. Police believe she was shot by her partner, Uda Hidalgo, 27, in a domestic dispute.
Hidalgo's been charged with second degree murder.
