T. PETERSBURG A woman and her estranged boyfriend were found dead this evening and authorities are classifying their demise as a murder-suicide.
Leon Cranston, 26, apparently shot his estranged girlfriend Megan Sullivan, 22, in his apartment at 10901 Brighton Bay Blvd. N.E. before turning the gun on himself, St. Petersburg police say.
The pair were found dead from gunshot wounds to their chests at 8:30 p.m. this evening, police said
Sullivan's father had asked authorities to check on his daughter. Though her last known address is in Clearwater, they were directed to check on her at Cranston's apartment.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
