Hughes Springs Police are working a suspected murder/suicide at a home in the 1400 block of East First Street.
Investigators say around 7 o'clock, Stan Nolan went to the home of his estranged wife Kandi Nolan.
She reportedly called 9-1-1, but investigators say the line went dead.
When officers arrived, they found Kandi Nolan dead from a gunshot wound. Stan Nolan was also found in the house with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot from a .38 caliber pistol.
Police say the couple had been estranged for about 3 months, but no protective orders had been filed.
No one else was inside the home at the time, and police say they are not looking for any more suspects.
Kandi Nolan's body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
