One man is dead after a domestic dispute in Brush Creek Township.
According to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz, deputies were called to 660 Irish Ridge Road around 10:30 Wednesday night. Upon their arrival, they found a man lying in the front yard of the home.
"We found this person unconscious/unresponsive. CPR was started and when the squad got here, the monitor was placed on him and the person was deceased at that point," said Sheriff Lutz.
It appears the man was shot, but the Sheriff says multiple weapons may have been used. Muskingum County Coroner Dr. Perry Kalis was on scene to examine the body. Two females were at the home at the time. Sheriff Lutz says both of those females are being interviewed.
"We had Harrison Township first responders come out from the fire department and the community ambulance was the squad here. They ended up transporting one of the females to the hospital to be checked out and the other female we interviewed here at the scene," said Sheriff Lutz.
Sheriff Lutz says the investigation is ongoing and names will not be released until the family of the victim is notified.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
