SUWANEE - Testimony continues this week in the murder trial of a Suwanee father who stabbed the mother of his two young daughters to death at a Wal-Mart parking lot.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that the 7- and 9-year-old daughters of 29-year-old Philip Chad Dunn testified against their father Tuesday.
The girls told the court they were sitting inside their grandmother's vehicle when they saw Philip Dunn attack their mother during a custody exchange on Valentine's Day 2010.
The older daughter also told the court that her father told her he was going to kill her mother because she killed him on the inside.
Dunn is charged with malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in the death of his estranged wife, 27-year-old Shelley Dyan Dunn.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
