SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
So many questions still remain as to why a prominent pastor would allegedly kill his wife then take his own life.
Pastor Willie Guiden and his wife Jane were found around 10:30 this morning at their home in the 800 block of Elmdale Street in Shreveport's Southern Hills.
Those who knew Willie Guiden say the thought of him killing his wife, then taking his own is just unbelievable.
At 10:30 Thursday morning, police were called to the Southern Hills home to check on 60-year-old Willie Guiden and his wife, 60-year-old Jane Guiden. A relative told police the pastor of Unity in Prayer Ministries and his wife would not answer the door.
"Officers themselves forced entry into the home through a rear patio door and subsequently located inside an adult male and an adult female," says Bill Goodin with Shreveport Police.
They were later identified as the Guidens.
"This has all the appearances of a murder-suicide. I'm not making that call at this point in time or ruling it that at this point and time," says Caddo Coronoer Dr. Todd Thoma.
The investigation indicated that Willie Guiden had one gunshot wound to the head. Jane suffered two gunshot wounds.
"He brought me in and took time and try to teach me the right way to serve God," says church member Lakendrick Houston.
Church members describe Willie as a respectable man of God and very giving.
"And we all love him. It just hurts so bad," says Zelma Wyatt, also a church member.
Guiden owned this restaurant across the street from his church.
"If you ain't got no money and want something to eat, he'll feed you. He was just that type of person," adds Wyatt.
Those who knew Guiden say he showed no signs of depression or stress. The investigation is ongoing.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
