PASCO -- The Franklin County Coroner reports Magdalena Velasco-Garcia, 22, is the woman found dead at a home on the 2700 block of Glendive Court in Pasco. Police call it a case of "homicidal violence."
The body of Velasco-Garcia was found outside the home off "A" Street. A man was arrested at the scene. He is also in his 20's.
A 911 call came from the home reporting a domestic violence incident about 3pm Thursday. By the time police arrived, the woman was already dead. Cops quickly arrested a man related to her. They would not identify the relationship, say how the woman died, or confirm the man was arrested for his death. They would only say they were not looking for anyone else.
Neighbor Joel Fernadez spoke about the family who lives at the home, "I am shocked. I feel sorry for him. I know he's in shock right now."
An autopsy is planned for Saturday to determine the cause of death for Velasco-Garcia. KEPR will continue pursuing this story Friday and post updates here and on Twitter and Facebook.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
