TAMPA — A domestic dispute turned fatal Monday morning, leaving one man dead and a woman in custody, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said.
Around 11:00 a.m., a woman went to Palm Springs police in Palm Beach County and said she had shot someone at her home in Tampa.
Police there notified Hillsborough authorities, and deputies went to Foxcroft Apartments, 3817 Tudor Court, where they found Phillipe Perez, 29, shot to death.
Perez' girlfriend, Venecia Depaula, 30, was taken into custody in Palm Beach County and charged with second-degree murder, said Hillsborough sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter.
