Police are investigating the deaths of a couple found inside a Wallingford apartment on Wednesday afternoon as a possible murder-suicide.
John Graves, 63, of Colchester, and Wendy Warzeniak, 57, of Wallingford, were found dead at the Silver Tree apartment complex at 179 Knollwood Drive.
The property manager called 911 around 3:30 p.m on Wednesday afternoon after a family member called him to do a welfare check on Warzeniak, police said.
Investigators said they found a suicide note apparently written by Graves at the scene.
Warzeniak and Graves were dating, police said. Both died from a gunshot wound.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
