An 86-year-old man shot his 95-year-old wife before turning the gun on himself Monday morning, according to a report from WVEC on Friday.
Alfred Cadreau and his wife, Mary, were found dead in their Green Lakes subdivision house on Monday in what appears to have been a murder-suicide, police said.
A mail carrier called police at 11:13 a.m. after finding a note in a mailbox in the 300 block of Sarazen Drive saying he should check inside, Detective Jan Westerbeck said.
There was a second note at the garage, saying to call police and leaving a door code, she said.
