IMOGENE, Minn. - Police say a murder-suicide led to the grisly discovery of two bodies inside a van last week.
Officials with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 51-year-old Linda Kay Norman, of Granada, Minn., and 50-year-old Curtis Lynn Larson, of Welcome, Minn.
The two were found in a parked van outside of Our Place bar, with Norman in the driver’s seat and Larson in the passenger’s seat.
Autopsies were completed on Friday, and the medical examiner said Larson likely shot Norman in the head with a .22-caliber rifle before turning the gun on himself.
Martin County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Corey Klanderud said the two had a previous relationship and that a note was later found in Larson's vehicle.
There were no witnesses to the shootings. which happened inside the minivan.
Imogene is located about 5 miles outside of Fairmont, Minn.
