FORT SMITH, Ark. — A Crawford County woman has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man at the home where the two lived.
Deputies arrested Michelle Monroe early Wednesday morning after being called to the home where they found 57-year-old Bobby Gene Tuck dead on the living room floor. Sheriff Ron Brown told the Southwest Times Record that Tuck was stabbed in the back.
Monroe said Tuck had threatened her with a knife and that she was defending herself.
Monroe is jailed without bond.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
