LEBANON, Ohio -- Police in Warren County are investigating what they're calling a murder-suicide.
Lebanon Police are saying what may have started out as a domestic dispute, allegedly led to a woman being stabbed to death and a man taking his own life while driving.
Investigators say it started just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night when they were alerted a woman in her 30s was stabbed multiple times on Georgetown Drive in Lebanon by a man. At this point it's not known whether that man was her husband, boyfriend or just an acquaintance.
Police say the man drove away from the scene.
Warren County sheriff's deputies say they spotted the man's vehicle on State Route 123. When they tried to pull him over police say he fled.
The chase ended on northbound I-75 near State Route 73 after stop-sticks were deployed.
When police approached the man's vehicle they say that's when they noticed what they're calling self-inflicted wounds.
"We're doing our investigation. We'll be following up on whatever leads we can get. The Sheriff's Department . . . they've got their scene up on 75 and 73,” said Assistant Chief Robert Hawley of the Lebanon Police Department. “So, it's just a matter of trying to pull all the pieces together."
Police are also saying there was a child in the home where the woman was stabbed.
Investigators say that child was not seriously hurt.
