Oswego, NY--An Oswego woman has been accused of killing her husband Friday afternoon at their home on Tug Hill Road.
The Oswego County Sherrif’s Office said it doesn’t know why Joyce Malone, 69, killed her 74-year-old husband at their home at 128 Tug Hill Road.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home at 5 p.m. Friday to find Ralph Malone dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
They charged his wife with second degree murder, a felony. Joyce Malone was arraigned in the Town of Oswego Court and she was sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility with no bail.
The exact cause of death and the motive are still under investigation.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
