Louisville, Ky. (WHAS)--The trial for a Pleasure Ridge Park man charged with murdering his wife after she applied for a protective order is set to begin Tuesday.
68-year-old William Seidl is accused of killing his wife, 69-year-old Dorene, just days after she pleaded for a domestic violence protection order back in Aug. 2008.
The judge said no, citing there was not enough evidence to warrant the order.
Two days after Dorene's court appearance William allegedly bought a gun and his wife was found shot to death in his home after a stand off with police.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
