West Michigan police honor officer killed in the line of duty

JACKSON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Officers from several West Michigan police departments are heading to the east side of Michigan on Friday to honor a fellow officer who was killed in the line of duty.
Officer James Bonneau died Tuesday morning in Jackson. The 26-year-old officer got caught in a shoot-out during a domestic violence call.
The suspect, Elvin Potts, also died.
Officer Bonneau's funeral is taking place in Plymouth.
Newschannel 3 spoke to Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo Police, all of them are sending officers to pay their respect and show their support.
