CHESHIRE, Ore. -- Police have released the names of the two people that were found dead in a Cheshire home Friday afternoon.
Police say neighbors found the bodies of Harry and Barbara Hanus, both 74, inside their home on Goldson Road.
Police say the couple had not been seen for a few days, and neighbors became concerned.
The Lane County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the two died from gunshot wounds, and it classifies Barbara's death as a homicide and Harry's death as a suicide.
Officials say no motive is known at this time and no one else was involved.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
