PASADENA - A 78-year-old man accused of murdering his 74-year-old ex-wife before trying to kill himself had a court hearing delayed on Tuesday.
William Manson of Los Angeles, will have another court hearing on January 7 to schedule his preliminary hearing for the case.
Manson was arrested on April 1 and faces charges of burglary, along with first-degree murder, officials said.
Elinor Manson, his ex-wife who lived on Virgina Avenue, put up a struggle before her murder, police said. They contend that Hanson took a skillet off the stove and hit her in the head, then asphyxiated her with a plastic bag.
Manson has pled not guilty in the case.
