LOUDON -- A Loudon woman was charged late today with homicide in the shooting death of her husband.
Kristin Myers is being held in the Loudon County Jail pending arraignment, tentatively set for 1 p.m. Monday. Larry Myers, 44, was shot in the back with a 9mm handgun outside his Huffland Drive home on Wednesday morning.
Assistant Loudon Police Chief Mike Newman said the victim was moving out of the house and had already packed several bags when his wife arrived and an argument ensued.
Kristin Myers drove away after the shooting and was arrested later at a motel.
Police are still searching for the gun, which Kristin Myers stated she threw out of the car, Newman said.
More details as they develop online and in Friday's News Sentinel.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
