ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - A Bowman man has been arrested and charged in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Saturday 34-year-old Timothy Tirrell Brown had been charged with murder.
Ravenell says officers were called at around 11:30 a.m. Friday to a Branchville home, where they found the body of a 34-year-old woman.
Deputies also said Brown had been charged with animal cruelty, but details about those charges haven't been released.
It wasn't known if Brown had an attorney, and deputies said he was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. His girlfriend's name has not been released.
