A 20-year-old woman died after she was stabbed and strangled Monday in her south suburban home in a homicide, authorities said.
Lacey Gaines, of the 0-99 block of Hickory Trace Drive in Justice, was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. She died of multiple stab wounds and strangulation in a homicide, the office ruled following an autopsy today.
The spokesperson for the Justice Police Department was not available for comment.
