RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A grand jury indicted a Rio Rancho man for the death of his wife.
Leo Noonan, 53, was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
Police arrested him just 20 days after the remains of his wife Angela Noonan were found on a ranch outside of Rio Rancho.
Investigators said he confessed to his ex-wife that he killed Angela with a hammer and kept her body in his house for more than a month before dumping the remains.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
