Orange County deputies are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman found inside a home in the Hunter's Creek area.
Deputies found the bodies of Jose and Aida Duran in the Falcon Trace subdivision Tuesday morning after someone called in to request a wellness check.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office was requested to conduct a check on the well being of a married couple. The request was made by their son, who lives with them.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Mrs. Duran was the victim of a homicide. The suspect, Jose Duran, also found in the residence, was deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury.
Evidence inside the residence was collected and will be examined further. There are no known prior Domestic Violence reports to law enforcement.
Detectives and CSI team members are poring over material that was taken from the home, and the medical examiner will perform autopsies on the bodies. No names have been released, but the victims are described as being middle aged.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
