A 71-year-old Clancy man who killed his wife in Richland County in 1974 could have his parole revoked after a report that he shot a neighbor's dog last month.
Jefferson County Sheriff Craig Doolittle says no charges have been filed against Loren D. Sharbono for an early June incident in which he is accused of shooting a dog he said was harassing his chickens.
But Bob Anez, a spokesman for the Montana Department of Corrections, says probation and parole officials at the Jefferson
County jail determined Tuesday that Sharbono violated his parole by owning a gun. Sharbono was taken to Montana State Prison on Wednesday to await a revocation hearing.
He was sentenced in 1975 to 75 years in prison for killing his wife, who was eight months pregnant. Sharbono was paroled last year after serving 34 years.
