A Louisville woman and her estranged husband died in a murder suicide in White Oak, Ala., according to police there.
Authorities said Jacqueline Owens, 48, shot Lamarce Owens, 59, of Moulton, Ala., at least three times before shooting herself in the parking lot of the White Oak Fire Department about noon Monday.
Jacqueline Owens was dead when authorities arrived, and Lamarce Owens died after being transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.
Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May said police found a .38-caliber revolver near the woman's body.
"We know they were separated and were going through a divorce," May said. "In fact, the divorce papers were found in a plastic bag laying between the two bodies."
