PHOENIX -- Phoenix police say a 17-year-old Phoenix girl has been fatally stabbed at the hands of her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend, and that he's also dead.
Police responded to a Phoenix apartment complex Friday afternoon and found a 31-year-old woman bleeding from the arm.
The woman told police that 17-year-old Dawt Cin Sung and her ex-boyfriend had fought over money.
Police found the two inside an apartment, both suffering from knife wounds.
Paramedics pronounced the teen dead at the scene. The suspect, whose identity was not released, later died at a local hospital.
Police say it's unclear whether the suspect's injuries were self-inflicted.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
