AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jatavious January will face 30 years in jail for his part in February's Richmond County jail riot and for shooting his girlfriend.
January pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for shooting his girlfriend in 2007, receiving 20 years for that charge.
Another 10 years were tacked on for his part in the riot, which involved 31 inmates and sent three deputies to the hospital.
