British Extradition: Gambler awaits extradition result

A British poker champion accused of murdering his wife and dumping her body in a US national park will find out next month if he is to be extradited.

American prosecutors claim Marcus Bebb-Jones, 46, from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, murdered his wife Sabrina in 1997.

A hearing to consider whether to extradite him was held at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court, London.

District Judge Howard Riddle will announce his decision on 12 April.

If extradited, Mr Bebb-Jones will face trial in America.

American prosecutors claim Mr Bebb-Jones murdered his wife then spent her money during a "playboy" weekend in Las Vegas.

The professional gambler was arrested last year in a raid at his home in Kidderminster amid accusations that he went on to spend thousands of dollars on her credit cards.
