Police tie Spotsy man to slaying and suicide
Fairfax County police believe a Spotsylvania man, whose body was found Wednesday in an Arlington residence, was responsible in a shooting death earlier in Fairfax.
Officers with the Mount Vernon Police District of Fairfax County Police identified the first victim as Morgan Myatt, 23, of Washington. Her body was found in the Engleside area in a parked vehicle.
She had been shot, and police recovered a gun at the scene.
Later that day, Arlington County police responded to a weapons call and found Antoine Avery, 25, of Crown Grant Drive in Spotsylvania County, shot to death in an apparent suicide.
Fairfax County police said Avery is a suspect in the homicide of Myatt.
Police believe that the victim and suspect were acquaintances but offered no additional details.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
